2.2 Power Supply
The HMG 3000 comes with an internal NiMH battery. To charge the battery, simply connect
the power supply furnished with the unit (see connectors of the HMG 3000). The battery is
fully charged after ca. 5 hours.
A direct current supply (12 – 30 V DC) can be connected to the power input socket for
operating the HMG or charging the battery.
When connecting the power supply to the input socket make sure that +UB is present at the
inner contact of the plug and 0 V at the outer contact. A JEITA RC 5320-5 plug, for example,
is suitable for this purpose; it is available in most electrical/electronics shops.
3 Technical Safety
The individual components of the HMG 3000 portable data recorder and the assembled unit
are subject to strict quality assurance inspection and testing. Each HMG 3000 undergoes
outgoing testing. This ensures that when supplied the unit is free from defects and complies
with the designated specifications.
The series HMG 3000 portable data recorders are maintenance-free and work perfectly
when used under the conditions specified. If, however, you do encounter problems, please
contact your HYDAC representative. Any tampering with the data recorder will cause all
warranty claims to become null and void.
Compliance with European Standards
The HMG 3000 series portable data recorders feature the CE mark and thus comply with all
relevant German regulatory requirements and European standards currently in effect
pertaining to the operation of these units. This ensures compliance with currently valid
regulations pertaining to electromagnetic compatibility and the provisions of the Low-Voltage
Directive (73/23/EEC).
This product complies with the provisions of the following European standards:
EN 61000-6-1 / 2 / 3 / 4
